Gupta confessed that a secret society deputed the murder of Inspector Shamsulalam. ‘ The new anti->seditious Press Act will he introduced into the Indian Parliament on Friday next. A SCHEME FOR A NATIVE GOVERNMENT. (Received Jan. 28, 12.5 a.m.) CALCUTTA, Jan. 27. Evidence in the Lahore case against the editor of an inflammatory newspaper for sedition shows that his papers included a scheme to govern India after the British departure. The Maharajah of Nepaul was to bo king with a council of five. The Ameer of Afghanistan was to be persuaded to join also. A House of Princes and a House of Commons were to be establish, ed at Delhi.
