SYDNEY, Jan. 30

A terrific cyclone practically demolished Brewarrina, oil Friday evening. The telegraph lines were interrupted, hut are now restored. Details are meagre. No. lives are reported lost, hut every building suffered more or less damage. Six inches of rain fell in an hour and a-half. A flood is feared. Enormous hailstones fell. Thousands of (birds, killed by the hail, strewed the streets. Fowls, dogs, and rabbits were also killed.

[Brewarrina is a small town situated 518 miles westward of Sydney, with about 800 inhabitants.]
