ST. PATRICK'S SPORTS.
PUBLIC MEETIXG. A public meeting to make arrangements for holding the yearly St. Patrick’s sports was held in the Farmers’ Union rooms last evening. The Rev. Father Lane presided, and there was a good attendance. Apologies for absence were received from Alessrs C. Lewis, AY. Howard, TG. Lawless, and G. AYildish. It was decided that the sports should be held on St. Patrick’s Day, at a place to be fixed on.
Air. AI. Segedin was unanimously elected secretary, and was authorised to interview the- secretaries of the Park racecourse and Victoria Domain to ascertain the terms on which these places would be available for the day. Committees were then elected as'follows: Programme committee, Alossrs Smith, Howard, Wildish, Lewis, Williams, G. Peterson, and S. Williams, with power to add to their number. AVorking Committee: Messrs Smith. G. Peterson, P. Aluldoon, V. Peterson, Quinn, S. AVilliams, J. AleGrath, T. McGuire, AI. Lyons, AI. Delalmnty, E. AYdliams, W. Haekett, T. Haisman. P. AlcConville, H. Ellery, F. Haughie. I. Aluldoon, AY. Hayes, Bradley, and J. Kelly.
(Several minor matters were dealt with, and it was decided that the programme committee should meet on Monday, at St Alary’s Sehrfblroom, at / p.m., the general committee to meet at the same place at 8 p.m. A vote of thanks to the chair concluded the meeting.
