ANGLICAN SYNOD.
CLOSE OF THE SESSION
("Per Press Association. I WELLINGTON, Feb. 2. At the AngTlcan Synod the Yen. Archdeacons, Neild, Richards, and Williams, and the Revs. A. M. Johnson, T. H. iSprott, and J. R. Wilford were appointed members of the Board of Theological Studies.
A committee consisting of the Yen. Archdeacons Gossett, Calder, Gould, and Tork, and the Revs. J. Hobbs and T. H. Sprott was appointed to try and arrange for a -provincial system of Sunday School instruction.
The Primate, Dean Fitchett. and Messrs J. H. Hosking, J. F. Woodhouse, and A. A. Finch were elected members of the Standing Committee. In order to meet- the expenditure of the Board of Theological Studies, it was decided that the dioceses be assessed for the next three years at £IOO oer annum, the assessments to be made in the same proportion as those for the expenses of the General Synod, also that for each of the next three- years the sum of £BO he set aside by the General Church Trust to provide exhibitions, if necessary.
