Two marines encountered brigands at Asnieres, pillaging houses. The brigands returned a brisk fire, and afterwards escaped by jumping from the windows and swimming.
The police shot two Apaches at Boulogne and Sur Seine. The entire valley of the .Seine between Paris and Havre is flooded. The Rouen quays and wharves and suburbs are inundated. Old Rouen is -untouched, but work in the factories and siiiuyards is at a standstill.
The Seine has fallen four lcet fi .ee Saturday.
Sappers laid thirty miles of temper- • ary bridges. The boat service has ceased in moft ' of the Paris streets owing lo the water being t-oo shallow.
