ACCIDENTS ANO FATALITIES
A SHOOTING FATALITY
TPer Press Association.'! HAMILTON, Feb. 3. William Henry Pope, a farmer at Tauwhare, lately of Hunterville, met with a fatal accident yesterday. He was out shooting when the report of a gun was heard. Pope, was found with his skull blown away. It is surmised that be had taken aim and then stumbled. the gun accidentally discharging. Deceased was aged 39. He leaves o widow and large family.
A DOSE OF CARBOLIC OIL
A widow, 62 years of age, named Margaret Davis, living in Grey-street, Auckland, took a dose of carbolic oil on Sundae last. It is stated that she had apparently been suffering from a fit of depression. She was removed to the hospital, where she is progressing favorably. Her condition is not serious.
