The following; is a copy of the mine manager’s report for the week ending Ist February: “No 7 crosscut was extended 16 feet, making a total footage south from the Princess crosscut of 57 feet. The ground passed through has been exceptionally hard, and does rot show any signs of getting softer/’
THE THAMES DEEP LEVEL SCHEME.

The agreement for the prosecution of the Thames deep levels scheme has now been signed by all the companies interested, and a Board of Management to control the operations has been appointed with the exception of tlie two members to bo appointed' by the Chvernment.
