AUTHORS’ DISHONEST AGENT.
MAKES £28,000 BY FRAUD

A law court action revealed that Bright, deceased, a dramatic authors’ agent defrauded Mr. J. M. Barrie, Sir A. Conan Doyle, Mr Stephen Phillips, and Mr Louis N. Parker of £28,000 in connection with American royalties. Mr Barrie only discovered the frauds when Bright’s executors asked him to look into the accounts. Investigation has resulted in the repayment to Barrie of £16,000.
