LABOR OFFICE SEEKERS

Mr Fowler, Labor representative for Perth for nine years, states that while lie is still staunch on the .principles on which he had been elected, Parliamentary life had disillusionised him. The Labor party of the first .Federal Parliament was absolutely earnest on fighting principles, but things began to alter when office loomed on the horizon.- The first Labor Ministry maintained a precarious existence by giving away the planks of its platform, and since then the Labor members had one eye on the -electors and the other on the Treasury benches. He went to his farm sick of political adventures'.
