The Federal Treasurer’s half-yearly statement shows the total receipts were £7,626,000 and expenditure. £3,685,000. The States received back £3,940,000..
A LARGE STORE BURNED. Cust’s large store at Rainbow has been burned. The damage amounts, to £21,500.
SIR FREDERICK DARLEY’S ESTATE..

The estate of the late Sir Frederick Darle lias been sworn at £45,929. The whole is left to Lady Dailey.
A TRACE OF A MISSING VESSEL.
SYDNEY, Feb. 7
During the voyage of the Lord Shaftesbury slie called at Pitcairn Island and reported that a lifebuoy marked “Silber Horn, Liverpool,” was east up on Bounty Beach. The fate of the Silber Horn is one of the sea mysteries of recent times. She left Newcastle in June 1907 for Chili and was never heard of again.
