A granddaughter of the great Napoleon is now a teacher in one of the municipal schools of Paris. Old Parisians still remember well an old gentle, man who used to be seen in the streets, walking with much dignity, carrying a dog-whip, and followed by a big dog, which bore traces of age. The old man preserved to the last vestiges of elegance, was known as <r le Comte Leo-n, ’ and was a son of Napoleon I. He died in 1881, leaving a widow and an only daughter.
