Re-sellers of Australian cargoes are willing to accept a reduction, but there is-little inquiry; 40s 9d is asked for South Australian and Victorian, and 40s 3d for February.

Oats.—Steady. La Plata JanuaryFebruary 15s l£d. Butter very firm, good demand. Choicest Australian 118 s, 120 s, occasionally 124, secondary Australian ,l'l4s, to 116 s, Danish 125 sto 1275. Cheese. —Firm. New Zealand 58s to 595, Canadian 60s to 625. A shipment of South Australian lambs to Avonmouth found a good market at 3]d and 33d.

The third and last wool sale of the season was held to-day. 2128 bales being offered. ' The. finer grade wool had all been disposed of at previous sales, and to-day’s lots were chiefly comprised of coarser varieties (from stragglers in many instances). Also the wool was not so clean as the earlier shorn lots. Despite these drawbacks, prices realised showed a rise of from -]d to Id per lb, and even up to in a few instances, as compared with the highly satisfactory figures secured at the last sales. The experience of all the auctioneers was that lots passed in at the last sale found buyers. Medium and inferior wool, which at the last sale fetched 9]d to to-day brought up to and lid was a fairly general figure.
