During the hearing of a case in the Police Court, Auckland, last week. Mr C. C. Kettle, S.M.. took the opportunity tn comment on the state of Albert Park. Numerous complaints, he said, had been made with reference to the.number of drunken men lying about the grass, and decent people were often subject to considerable annoyance. Pis Worship suggested that instead of the small lamps which are now scattered at considerable intervals through the place, three large and powerful lights should be erected in the middle of the park. A representation to that effect should he made by the police to the City Council.
