The parents of the children rolled- up in great force, and bellied to make the picnic most enjoyable. Prizes were allotted to the winners of each event, which were keenly contested. The schoolmaster, Air. Aliller, had the children’s programme in - hand, and being ably assisted by the committee and others, got everything off in firstclass style. Luncheon was provided cn the grounds, there being full and plenty' for everybody. 0; course this was taken in hand by the ladies, and was 'handled as only ladies can do at these sort of gatherings. Towards 5.30 p.m. the launches, packed with happy but tired children, left for home, the youngsters giving three hearty cheers for Air. and Airs. Aloore io-i- their kind hospitality, as the boats left Air. Aloore’s wharf.
