There is an energetic campaign i»i progress against gun-running in India. 'Ten extra vessels are being employed along the Mekran coast and in the Persian Gulf.

REVOLT OF TRIBESMEN. Tribesmen in Bastar, India, armed with bows and arrows, have revolted. 'They looted the bazaar, and burned the police posts and school houses. A large force of police has been sent to suppress the outbreak. [Bastar is a State in Central India, lying North-East from Hyderabad.]
