MriH uglies- opened the Labor campaign with a big meeting. He declared that Mr Deakin was trying to cloud the issues. The Labor party was trying to burst up the big estates, and make the land available for the people. He replied to Mr Deakin’s criticisms of the Labor party. THE STATES’ LIGHT TO BORROW. (Received February 16, 9.45 p.m.) SYDNEY, Feb. 16. Mr. Wade, referring to the transfer of State debts, said .that the States could not surrender into other hands the right to borrow when they considered jt essential .for their welfare.
