Mr. Lionel Phillips, one of the initiators and chief workers for union, though he kept aloof from controversial politics for the last four years, has joined the Progressives, hoping to aid in forming a strong and sound opposition if General Botha and Dr. Jameson are unable to join forces for South Africa’s good.
