TURANGANUI CLUB

At the Turanganui Bowling Club’s green yesterday afternoon, a match in the- Bennett Cup competition was played, the result being:— J. J. Martin 23 beat M. G. Nasmith, sour., 18.—This was an exceedingly close game throughout, the players being S all on the 7tli head and 13 all on the 12t-h head. Martin had a lead of one point on the 17th head, being 17 to 16, and on the 20th head led by two points—2o to 18. On the last" head Nasmith required two to tic, and essayed twice to carry the jack with his opponent lying three, but failed, and Martin secured victory by five points.
