The “Free Press”, published in Ottawa, denies that the British elections influenced Canada’s negotiations with Germany.

LONDON, Feb. 18

Canadians believe that the repeal of the surtax on German goods will be at the expense c,f British manufacturers. On the other hand, opinion in Berlin assumes” that it will, be at the expense of the United States.
