United Press Association— Copyright (Received February 21, 9.30 p.m.) CAIRO, Feb. 2i.
A Mohammedan student named Wardany fired five shots at Boutros Pasha, Egyptian Premier, outside the Foreign Office at Cairo. Boutros Pasha was seriously wounded, and was removed to a hospital. Nationalist literature was found in Wardany’s pocket. He acted as secretary of the Young Egyptian Congress at Geneva. He declares that he dies to avenge the Denshawai affair and the prolongation of the Suez Canal concession.
[The Denshawai affair was an unprovoked attack on British officers by some natives, who were punished for the outrage, dt is noteworthy that Mr. Keir Hardie ttended the' Young Egyptian Congress at Geneva, of which the would-be murderer of the Egyptian Premier was secretary.]
