APPOINTMENT OF STARTER

(Per Press Association. | GREYMOUTH, Feb. 21. A conference of delegates of AVest Coast racing clubs, held t-liis evening,, had 31 applications for the position Oi starter for the autumn meetings. Eight delegates were -present. Several ballots were taken, resulting in the number being reduced to two, Mr. H. Thompson, Christchurch, and Mr. Thos. Keith, AVanganui. The final-ballot decided in favor of Mr. Keith.
