APPEAL ACAiINST TROTTING 'ASSOCIATION DISMISSED.
CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 22. In the Supreme Court to-day, in an application by John Hanna for an injunction to restrain the Trotting Association from disqualifying him, Judge Sim, in. giving judgment, said that it was not the function of the Supreme Court to act as a court of appeal from the decisions of such bodies as the Association, and the only ground for interference would be that the decision had not been arrived at properly, or that the Association had acted contrary to the principles of natural justice. He concluded that Hanna had purposely avoided giving an explanation to the
committee .before the disqualification. There was tno reason to think that the Association had not acted bona fide. Judgment was given for the defendant Association, with costs. f
