COOK COUNTY WOMEN’S GUILD.
PRESENTATION TO THE HON SECRETARY.
The monthly meeting of t-lie Cook County Women’s Guild was held yesterday afternoon. Airs. Townley presided, ancl thero was a large attendance. A considerable amount of routine business was gone through, and a large number of donations acknowledged, it was also reported that everything was going on well in 'connection " tth the Maternity Home, and it was hoped that they would be able to occupy the piemif’es early in Alarcli. After the routine business, afternoon tea was banded round, and while this was in progress, the AI ay or ess (Airs. W. D. Lvsnar). in a neat little speech, said that she had been asked to perform a very pleasant duty, m presenting Airs. Scott, secretary of the Guild, with a silver tea service, and a set oi silver snoons, ns a birthday gilt from the Guild, .who all hoped that she would live long and have many cups or te*y lrom the tea-pot presented to her. Several other members endorsed these remarks, and offered their congratulations. The recipient, who >was visibly affected and surprised, thanked 'those present for their kindness. Ihe rilto.' tea-pat bore an inscription stating that it was presented to Airs. Agnew Scott, on her birthday, by the members of the Cook. County Women’s Guild.
