In an advertisement in this issue, Messrs Douglas Bros., proprietors of the Strand Cafe, state that they wish to make it clear that the complaint made to the health authorities concerning certain premises did not apply to their establishment.
At 2 p.iii. to-dav Messrs F. S. Malcolm and Co. will hold an.auction sale of Japanese silks and fancy goods, and of shop fixtures, at the Banzai NTppon store, Gladstone Road, liexty door to Mr. IT. Anderson's bicycle shop. The lots are to bo offered -without reserve. Mr. W. Taylor, of the Federal Cafe, has a notification to the public in this issue.
By an advertisement in this issue' the person who took a gentleman’s bicycle from the \Yaerenga-a-hika College grounds last night is requested to return it to Mr. H. Anderson's cycle works or the Waerenga-a -hika College to avoid further trouble.
