TRINITY LADIES’ SEWING GUILD.
GENERAL MEETING. The general meeting of the Holy Trinity Ladies’ Sewing Guild was held yesterday afternoon in the -parish schoolroom, to inaugurate -the Guild’s work for tin’s year. There was a large attendance. The Itov. L. Dawson Thomas presided, and made a number of suggestions for the work of the Guild for the ensuing year. He laid stress upon the value of the Guild’s services in the past, particularly in the matter of the new church building scheme. As the Trinity Schoolroom cannot he available for the ladies to meet in for the next three montlis owing t-o tile High School having the nse of tho building, it was decided that the Rev. F. AA r . Chatterton; principal of the Te Tfau College, should be asked to allow the Guild to meet- in one of tho College rooms on Friday afternoons. A very comprehensive collecting scheme, for helping on the building fund, was taken up bv the ladies. Afternoon ten. was handed round, and the meeting adjourned after passing a vote of thanks to the chairman.
