ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
DROWNED IN POND
[Per Press Association, i CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 27. A-young man named Arthur _ Lane went to the swimming pond in the Methven Domain last night for a bathe. As he did not return search was made, and his clothing was found in the dressing shed. Willing helpers under Constable Moore commenced to drag the pond, and after-two hottrs the body was recovered.
YOUNG MAN DROWNED
ASHBURTON, ’Fob. 20
Herbert Lane, a blacksmith, was drowned in the Methven Domain pond last, evening, when bathing alone. The body lias been recovered. Deceased was about 25 years of age, and lias relatives living at Spreydon.
