Mr. Langermann, speaking at the Chamber of Mines, Johannesburg, stated that of the world’s gold output £91,000,000 in 1909, the Transvaal contributed £30,925,758. Referring to tlie continuous fall in Australia’s output, he said it appeared probable that at no distant date the world would look to Africa for the largest tion of the gold supply. White labor on the Witwatersrand had increased IS per cent, as compared with 190 S.
