THE WEATHER.

The Rev. D. C. Bates’ summary and forecast is a$ follows:—Strong so-lit liorly .winds, with heavy showers, brought cooler weather, and a high barometer on Sunday morning. Today the weather has, been very unsettled northwards of JLucflland. Heavy ra-iu is reported this afternoon at Cape Egm-ont and changeable weather elsewhere. Present indications are for a rising barometer shortly in the far north, and a falling -barometer -in the south. Strong easterly winds are -probable in the north, and freshening neriherlie? elsewhere. Warm and changeweather is probable generally, cloudy and hazy at times in most parts hut unsettled ,in the extreme north and south.
