THE “BRITANNIA” CUP
The second heat in the contest ior the Britannia Cup will take place over the Makauri course (12 miles) on Thursday afternoon. The competitors wilt start from the vicinity of Mr. Rees’ house on Whataupoko, and finish in Gladstone Road, opposite Mr. H. Anderlson’s cycle emporium. ■ The fi'bsti prize in the heat will be a .gold l .medal, and the second- a similar trophy, -while a gold and silver medal will be given, to the rider occupying third -place. Points in the cup contest count as follows:—lst 4 points, 2nd 2 points, 3rd 1 point, fastest time 3 points. The following handicaps have been declared for tihe race by Mr. R. H. Cllar-k:—T. Jones, T. King (scr), F. Mawhinney, :S. Whitehead (lOsee), A. Anderson, \V. Condon (25sec), G. Anderson (40sec), E. Simp-son (oOsec), C. Morrow (70sec), P. Fishbacli (90sec), P. Edwards (llOsec), E.
