VESSELS IN PORT. Coronation, ketch. Awanui, schooner. "Waikonini, scow. The Union S.S. Co.’s Monowai. r. day late from South, arrived early yesterday morning, leaving at 10 a.m. in. continuation of her voyage to Auckland. The Monowai returns on Sunday. The Huddart, Parker Co.’s Victoria arrives from South to-morrow morning, leaving later for Auckland. The Tuatea goes out at 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. The auxiliary schooner Kaeo (Copt. •Skinner) is on the Coast, on her way to Gisborne, and should arrive next week. The schooner Awanui is due to sail to-day for Auckland. She takes 300 casks of maize, 170 sacks of barley, etc. The ketch Coronation lias completed loading and should sail to-day for Auckland. The New Zealand Shipping Co.’s Wakanui sailed from Auckland yesterday for Gisborne for Home loading. The scow Waikonini is due to sail today for W'rhangape. According to the “Auckland Star”, the contractors for repairing work to the 'Kaipara, Messrs Hutchison and Campbell, of Wellington, assisted by Messrs Adams and Company, of Auckland, expect to have their part of the work completed within three weeks. The men are working in night and day shifts, and the work is progressing swiftly and without any hitch. The contract for insulating the freezing chambers has been let to Messrs Phiicox and Sons, of Auckland. This work ■will occupy some five or six weeks, and •will be completed when the vessel is afloat. When the Kaipara is once •more seaworthy she will load cargo at Auckland, and subsequently come south, to fill up. .
