THE WEATHER
The Rev. D. C. Bates’ summary and forecast is as folows: —The barometer has been steady in the north, but has risen southward of Kawhia and Napier. Unsettled and cloudy -neathe! Fas prevailed and rain has fallen over ihe SSL Island. Moderate to strong northerly winds have pievailed in North Island and changed hy the we.t to stormy, south-easterly m the Louth. Present indications are for an easterly gale northward of Napier and .ivaw ]fia with i-ain and strong south-easter-ly winds elsewhere with cool and changeable weather threatening on the but probably improving the day advances. The barometer nil probably .fall for a time in the fai( North. -
