A Victorian importer of horses, wlio loft the Bluff recently, with a consignment for Australia. informed the “Otago Daily Times” that Clydesdale heavy draught colts and flutes are in good demand, and that there is every likelihood ->of the market remaining firm. The bot-fly, supposed to have been introduced from New Zealand, is taking firm 'hold of the place. His observations are that in New Zealand the horses have become immune from the pest, and, seeminglysustain no great inconvenience. In Victoria, however, the case is different. There its ravages are serious, hut there are hopes that in time the fly will prove innocuous, as in New Zealand.
