SATURDAY’S SITTINGS

[Pick, Rimss Association.! DUNEDIN, March 6. At the Conference on Saturday Mr W. T. P. Orm-erod, of Christchurch, was appointed representative of Messrs T. Allen, J. C. Cabbe and W. S Allen and was commended to the English conference. Mr Cabbe was appointed representative to the Irish Oonference. The Rev. S. La wry and Mr T. Allen were recommended to the genera] conference, Adelaide, for appointment to the Ecumennencal Conference, meeting in Toronto in 1911. Reporting upon the supernumary fund for the whole of Australasia Mr Rosevear, New Zealand treasurer, stated that the balance transferred to capital account was several hundreds of pounds more than in the previous year and that the fund was now in an exceedingly satisfactory position. The expenses of the fund were paid entirely «»ut- of interest on investments and the assets totalled £399,358. The Home Mission Fund occupied considerable time. A large committee had reviewed its business and balance sheet and the Rev. T. G. Brooke submitted the report. This was considered in detail. The balance sheet showed the estimated income for the coming year as between five and six thousand (pounds. Mr Veale, Auckland, was appointed treasurer, as successor to Mr F. N. Prime. The further resolutions of the committee are to lie considered on Monday after the third reading of stations has been disposed of. This afternoon, by invitation, the conference visited Knox College and were received by Professor xiewitson, 'who headed the party in its inspection of the magnificent buihlings. Before leaving the College the Rev. W. Baumbcr, at the request of President Laws, expressed the pleasure of the Conference in its visit and its thanks to Professor Hewitson for his courteous and fraternal reception.
