A most successful subdivision sale oi 1800 acres, being, part of the wellknown Laglimor estate, situated about eight miles from Ashburton, was hek] to-day, when about GOO farmers were present. The land was sold in eleven stocks at an average of £2O 12s per acre and the sale netted the owner, Mr 0 . A. M. Buckley, approximately £40.000. Owing to a portion of the land being slightly inferior to that sold at last subdivision about tliice years ago the average price was not so high. Theiv was spirited competition and the whole of the blocks were disposed of in less than -In minutes. Prices for bestquality land ranged from £l9 to £2u 2s 6d per acre, one riverbed let being sold at £lO 7s 6d.
