His Excellency Lord Plimkot delivered six speeches in Napier yesterday (says tln> ‘‘Telegraph” of Friday last), and one could observe throughout these speeches a note of genuine affection for New Zealand and the people of New Zealand, and a sincere regret at his approaching departure, which endeared him to tlie hearts of ali who heard him. Yesterday’s functions wore not onlv an evidence of the loyalty of the people to the Crown, but they afforded unequivocal proof of the personal affection that the Governor is held in throughout Hawke’s Bay.
