Dr. Hastings Young had intended to he a candidate for the Borough, but. owing to an oversight, his name had not been included in the electoral roll. A nomination for Mrs W. The election takes place on Wednesday, March 16th., and a list of the trolling places will be published shortly. The qualifications necessary to vote at the election are contained in Section 13, sub-sections 1 and 2. of the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, which read as follows: —The representatives of a Hospital and Charitable Aid Board of a combined district shall he elected by the electors of each of the contributory local authorities whose districts are included in the combined district. Every' such elector shall have one vote only, even though he is an elector of more than one o' the contributory local authorities of that district. By the term “contributory cal authority” is meant (a) the council of any borough in that hospital district, and (b) the council of anv county in that hofipltal _ district, other than a county in which the Counties Act, 190 S, is suspended, or not in force.
