SYDNEY HARBOR COLLISION.

CAUSE OF THE ACCIDENT

United Press Association— Copyricut SYDNEY, March 9. The Wyreema struck the Kurrajong a terrific blow at right angles, amul- # 'ships, and almost cut her in halves. A vast volume of water poured into tne collier, extinguishing her fires. The vessel .settled by the head immediately, and within a few minutes plunged headlong to the bottom. The Wyrfiema. immediately lowered a boat and rescued the crew with the exception of one iman. The night was dark. A number of motor boats and o u i .craft were quickly on the spot, and -picked wt> the missing man. The damage to the Wyreema is not serious. There are three small holes .in the hows above the wateiline. The collision was apparently due to the Kurrajong, in seeking to avoid a sailing craft, getting Tight across the Wvreema’s course. SYDNEY, March 8. The body of Neilson, the steersman of the Kurrajoong, has been recovered. ,
