THE WEATHER
The Rev. D. C. Bates’ summary arid forecast is as follows: —Cloudy and changeable weather has prevailed with rain in parts and especially about- Cook Strait. The barometer has continued high but unsteady and the- winds variable, but with strong south-westerly winds prevailing, south of Cook Strait. 'Present indications are lor a rising barometer with ' moderate to strong southerly winds. The weather will probably be generally cloudy, and misty, cool'and wet in parts.
