A GIRL CHAMPION. [Per Press Association*.! WANGANUI, Mu rch 11. The annual competition for medals offered by the New Zealand Amateur (Swimming Association tor-k .place this afternoon. Four girls under 14 years started, Tui Bain winning the four races in times which showed her to he the best school girl representative yet •brought forward. Her times were as follows: —25yds, 17 4-5 secs./..previous record 19sec.; 50yds. 42^-secs./'previous record lose-cs.; 75yds. 69 l-ssecs., previous record 73secs.; 100yds. in’ 104 secs., -previous record 109 secs.
