Sir Edward Grey, in the Bouse of Commons, replying to a question . regarding the emigration of reservists, said it was only permitted to a limited extent regarding soldiers who had completed their engagements. The Army Council would he glad if employment with the over-sea Dominion defence forces could be guaranteed for say two years. This would _ enable them to take up work for which they would-he fully qualified, and also to be •of benefit to the dominions while settling down in new environment Yo advance or reservists’ *pa> -coiilc made. No definite steps had heen taxon to ascertain the 'Dominions’ views in that direction.
