The Sydney manager of the Royal Packet Steam. Navigation Company yesterday received a cable from Batavia, stating that the outbreak of cholera had practically died out. The captain of the company’s steamer which has just, arrived expressed surprise at. the cabled report as to tlie ravages of the disease, as when he left there was no serious epidemic. The town had just recovered from the recent outbreak.
