SHACKLETON PLANNING ANOTHER EXPEDITION. United Press Association— Copyright (Received March 20, 5 p.m.) LONDON, March 19. Sir Ernest Shackleton is planning a purely scientific geographical expedition to leave, for the Antarctic towards the end of 1911, without competing with Captain Scott. Sir Ernest Sliackleton’s bases will be Cape Adair and Adelo Land, and he will explore between Cape. Adair and Gaussborg. The. staff is to include some of his old companions. Dr. Douglas Mawson, of Sydney, will be scientific director, and financial support is already promised.
