Although the Albany conference was reported to be without result, friendly negotiations continue with the view of arriving at a limited reciprocity agreement. CANADIAN-AMERICAN AGREEMENT FORESHADOWED. (Received March 22, 10.30 p.m.) NEW T YORK, March 22. The “American Journal of Commerce” foreshadow© a tariff settlement on the, basis of small concessions on Canada’s part and American granting Canada the Payne minimum rates, with mutual promises that negotiations will be undertaken towards the conclusion of a reciprocity agreement.
