United Press Association —Copyright ROME, March 24. The British destroyers Stag and Mallard collided while manoeuvring off Syracuse. The bow-of each vessel was stove in, ibut their air-tight compartments prevented them from sinking. Marconigrams brought the cruisers Bqpehante and Aboukir, which towed the destroyers into safety.
