A VICTORY FOR OXFORD

United Press Association— Copyright LONDON, March 23. Oxford won by four lengths. The weather was perfect, and the water smooth for the University boat race. - , Cambridge won the toss, and cliose the Middlesex side. The boats were level to Craven steps, where Cambridge had a slight lead, but from Crabtree to Harrod’s Oxford, pulling a long, steady stroke, gradually overhauled their rivals, and shot the Hammersmith Bridge three-quarters of a length ahead. After this they continued to increase their lead, despite Cambridge making plucky spurts. v The official declaration of the result was a win for Oxford by three and a-half lengths.
