Tho following is the Rev. D. C. .'Bates’ summary' and forecast: —A westerly disturbance prevailed on Friday had Saturday southward of New Plymouth and Napier, with rain apparently over the whole of the South Island and on the west coast of the North Island south of _Kawliia. Conditions to-day have heen ominous for a disturbance in the far north, and an easterly gale with heavy rain is probable southward 1 of East Capp, and iKawhia. There are indications for fine weather southward of New Plymouth and Napier, with a high barometer.
