FROZEN MEAT.
Dalgety and Company, Limited, have received the following cable from their London office : —'Frozen mutton : Since our last wire prices are higher by Jd to id per lb. The demand is good. Frozen beef, holders ask for hindquarters Ad advance, and for forequarters id advance. The advance asked by owners checks business. Wool sales: The \vool sales closed firm. As compared with last Series closing rates, greasy merino wools super prices are unchanged; greasy merino wools, heavy, earthy and wasty, prices are unchanged; greasy merino wools of. other descriptions, prices are higher by *> to 7-f per cent; scoured merino wools, prices are 'unchanged by 5 per cent. ; crossbred wools, fine quality, prices are unchanged ; crossbred wools, medium and coarse quality, and crossbred wools suitable for America, prices are lower by 5 to 10 (per cent.; other crossbred wools, •medium and coarse quality, prices are lower bv 5 per cent. The total net quantity available amounted to 139,000 bales: sold to America 6000 bales; sold •for Home consumption. 78,000 bales; sold to the Continent, 46,000 bales ; not offered, 3000 bales; carried forward, 0000 bales.
