WEDDING.
SHIELD—WALLIS, i 7 A very pretty wedding took place in Holy Trinity Church yesterday afternoon, the contracting parties being Miss Maud daughter of Mr. ,A. H. Wallis, the well-known sheepfarmer of this district, and Mr. A. M. Shield, of Konini, Hawke’s Bay. The service was conducted by the Veil. Archdeacon H. Williams, assisted by the Rev. L. Dawson Thomas. The bride was given away by her father, and she was becomingly dressed in a pretty gown of white satin, richly trimmed with silver beads and silk insertion. Her bridesmaids wore Misses E. Nolan, E. Williams, L. Busby, and F. Davies, and l they wore dressed in cream net and gold over taffeta with black and gold colored hats, and all carried beautiful bouquets. Mr Groom, of Hastings, was best man, and Messrs P. H. Slier ratt, G. Dodgsliun, and Beamish were the groomsmen. Appropriate music was played by Mr. E. N. Sidobottoin, who presided at the organ. After the wedding service the bridal 1 party proceeded to the residence of the bride's parents. Ivaiti, where a largo number of guests were entertained by Mr. and Mrs. Wallis. :
