A BLAZE IN BLENHEIM,

A five-roomed Jiouse in ‘South Street, owned by W. llosevear, was totally destroyed by fire about midnight. The house had not been tenanted for some time, as the owner was affecting alterations. The house was insured for £29J in the State Office.". Rosevear lost a quantity of furniture and tools, which were uninsured.
HOUSE BURNED IN DUNEDIN. • DUNEDIN, Jan. 4. A seven-roomed house in Upper Maclaggan Street was destroyed by fire early this morning. The house was occupied by Tirs Annie Miller, ivho retired t« bed at midnight, leaving a small fire burning in the kitchen. The furniture was insurecl in the Alliance office for, £l/o. The house was owned by Mullin. WOOD WARE FACTORY DESTROYED.
INVERCARGILL, Jan. 4. At 6.30 this morning a fir© at Riverton destroyed a woodware and brushware factory, plant, and stock, and a building belonging to Mr Pankhurst. The building was insured for £IOOO, but the plant, owned by Mr Kenneth Trail and stock the property of Carroll and Co., was uninsured- The loss is estimated at £IOOO.
