SedgAvick, the Labor Department, to Avhich the work Avas entrusted, has been able to place the'lads in situations where they are likely to secure the greatest possible benefit and instructions. Immecliatalyon arrival in the Dominion the party will scatter over a wide area. Eleven of' the boys are to proceed to situations in various parts of the Auckland province, some going as far as Helensville in the North, others to the Thames and Rotorua districts, and several to the Waikato. Ten'‘will be located in HaAvke’s Bay and Wairarapa, seven in Maiynvatu and Wanganui districts, eight in North Canterbury, five in Otago, and three in Southland. The Department, in addition to meeting the lads on arrival, will, through its agents sec every one of them safely to his destination. Air. SedgAviek is accompanying the party that is due to reach Wellington before the end of the month, but Avill hand them over to the Department hero. In addition to a verv large demand for these ‘‘pioneer” hoy immigrants, farmers are still Avriting to the Department and asking lor the services of lads brought out under similar conditions. The Department, hoAvever, prefer to nAvait the result of the present experiment before taking action in the direction of bringing out any further parties.
